My Love For Baking

My name is Tracy. I am 34 years old. I discovered my love for baking when I was a teenager. I love eating sweets. I first started with chilled desserts. I used to make Mango Float which is made up of crushed Graham crackers as its crust and Mango as its main ingredient. It was followed by a Bread Pudding. I made our leftover pieces of bread into a delectable dessert by adding eggs, milk, sugar, and Vanilla extract into it and steaming it until it is cooked. I and my siblings would share it over snacks.

My mom gifted me with an oven and so my baking skills leveled up. I began baking brownies, blondies, cupcakes, and cakes. I even got to make it my business. What I love about baking is not only it is a skill but it boosts my creativity and patience. In baking, all measurements should be exact. That is why baking is called an exact science. There will be a great effect on your final product if you didn’t get the right measurement of each ingredient. Baking teaches me to be patient. You have to wait for your cake to rise up at a certain time. You cannot open and close your oven every minute. Baking for others is an act of generosity. The act of giving is one that fills up the warmth, like a gooey brownie barely out of the oven. There’s nothing quite like baking for others - seeing their faces lit up when they got a taste of your baked goodies. It’s a surefire way to spread love and feel it in return.
